Who we are

This privacy statement applies to soulkitchenamsterdam.nl, operated by SoulKitchen Amsterdam at Amstelstraat 30, 1017 DA Amsterdam. For any privacy-related question, write us at info@soulkitchenamsterdam.nl.

What we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may process the following information:

  • Contact details you give us via the reservation form (name, email, date, party size, message).
  • Reservation details you submit via SevenRooms when booking a table.
  • Technical data such as IP address, browser, device, referrer and pages viewed — used to keep the site secure and to understand how it’s used.
  • Communications history if you have written to us by email or chat.

Why we process your data

  • To take and confirm your reservation.
  • To answer questions you ask through the contact form.
  • To operate, secure and improve the website.
  • To comply with legal and tax obligations.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies via the banner that appears on your first visit. Your choice is stored locally in your browser.

  • Essential — needed for the site to work, including remembering your cookie choice and keeping forms working. These are always on.
  • Functional — remember preferences such as your menu tab. Optional.
  • Analytics (optional) — anonymous statistics on which pages are popular so we can improve the site.
  • Third-party — the reservation widget (SevenRooms) and the events feed (FourVenues) load inside an iframe and may set their own cookies under their own policy.

Who we share your data with

We only share what is necessary, with carefully selected service providers:

  • SevenRooms — reservation handling. Their privacy policy: sevenrooms.com/privacy-policy.
  • Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) — sends the email you receive from our contact form. Their privacy policy: brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy.
  • Hosting and analytics partners working under data processing agreements with us.
  • Authorities, when legally required.

How long we keep it

  • Reservation records — for the period required by tax and accounting law (currently seven years in the Netherlands).
  • Contact-form submissions — up to twelve months after the conversation ends, unless a longer retention period applies.
  • Cookie preferences — until you clear your browser storage or change your mind.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your data (where there is no overriding legal reason to keep it).
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Receive a portable copy of the data you gave us.
  • Withdraw consent for anything you previously consented to.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens — autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

Security

  • We work with reputable service providers, use HTTPS across the entire site, and limit who inside our team can access your data.
  • If a data breach affects you and your rights, we will notify you within the legal timeframe.

Changes to this statement

  • We may update this statement when the way we work changes. The version on this page is always the current one — the date below shows when it was last revised.
